FULL-BODIED SANTA CLAUS

Full-Bodied Santa Claus

The very first pez dispensers did NOT have character heads on them. These head-less PEZ Dispensers were referred to as "Regulars" by collectors of Pez Dispensers.

In 1952, Pez-HAAS opened up their New York City Office and came up with the idea of placing character heads on the dispensers. This is when they added fruit-flavored Pez candies to their mix. (It used to be mint flavored only).

The first character PEZ created was the Full-Bodied Santa Claus in the mid 1950's. This first Santa had a full-body where the details included Santa's black boots and red coat. The word "PEZ" was placed across his chest.

This is a highly sought after PEZ Dispenser and there is also a full-bodied Robot Pez Dispenser(aka Spacetrooper) that was created before they changed to just character heads upon the rectangle Pez stem that we recognize in our stores today!
